For three years, The Ground_Up Project blog has featured innovative ventures and thought-leading investors. During this time, we’ve built partnerships with the likes of the United Nations Foundation’s Energy Access Practitioner Network as well as the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. These have been instrumental in positioning The Ground_Up Project as a platform for the discovery of impact ventures and the analysis of key business information.
In 2015, we launched the Value Compass – a tool that provides analytics to guide investor decisions on green businesses. The new platform, launched last month, takes things one step further with the brand new Portfolio Mapping tool for investors and service providers.
In addition to these great tools, the new platform also has many useful features for all our users. Hundreds of companies, investors and service providers have already joined us. If you’re new to the platform or have been with us a while, here is what you can look forward to in your new accounts:
Separate Accounts for Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Service Providers
Now you can see who’s who on the platform and view profiles for the people or organizations that interest you. Investors can still search enterprises and view their Value Compass analysis, but now entrepreneurs can also search for investors that could be a good fit for them. Giving service providers their own account types also means they’re easier to find whether you’re looking for due diligence, investor-readiness consulting, or an expanded network.
Let businesses know when you’re impressed with what you see, and find them again any time in your favorites list. You’ll receive a message when someone has favorited your business, so you’ll know when people like what they see in your profile. Hearing crickets? Sign in to complete your information and improve your Value Compass score.
Now you’re in control of who you talk to and when. An upgraded account lets you message anyone on the platform, provided they accepted to be messaged. Investors can talk directly with the companies that interest them, entrepreneurs can make their presence known to potential investors, and both can reach out to service providers to meet their needs.
What are you waiting for? Sign in to try these features for yourself.
